Edgeworth Consults in Case Involving the Security of Georgia Voting Machines

Edgeworth was brought on to consult in a case involving the security of Georgia Voting Machines.  Edgeworth concluded that parallel testing using a sample of one machine was inadequate for purposes of testing whether malware may have infected machines. Instead, a stratified sampling strategy to identify machines to be preserved for the analysis must ensure that sampled machines are representative of machines used in each relevant election in each Georgia county.
