Multinational Price Fixing Litigation

Edgeworth Partner Matthew Milner and Principal Programmer Sheila Buenafe provided expert consulting services to a large multinational company facing a series of class action lawsuits. The data sets required for the litigations spanned many different product markets, 12 countries, and seven corporate entities. Our experts:

• Developed a data management plan which allowed us to identify all of the data potentially needed for the litigation
• Interviewed IT personnel to identify the best sources of the data
• Extracted the data from multiple systems
• Performed a data quality assessment to determine how credit and debit adjustment records can be accounted for and which codes, product names, and customer names needed to be standardized
• Constructed a final dataset that stacked fields from the multiple systems into one, clean, data warehouse
