EPA Decision on Renewable Fuels Standard Waiver

Edgeworth Partner Dr. Jesse David worked for Growth Energy, the group that represents producers and supporters of ethanol, to estimate the impact of regulations on gasoline/ethanol in support of a filing before the EPA.  Dr. David performed a scenario analysis to estimate the impacts on various sectors of the U.S. economy of a waiver of renewable fuel standard volume requirements. The EPA decided to maintain the current regulations, based on the results of several analyses and studies including the one from Dr. David, which showed that new proposed regulations would have relatively small impacts.
