Food Law: Understanding This Rapidly Evolving Area of the Law
CLE International will host its inaugural two-day Food Law Conference in Washington, DC on March 17-18, 2016. The conference will address the new Food Safety and Modernization regulations, FDA labeling laws, Intellectual Property issues related to food products, and class action litigation of food matters. Experts will discuss best strategies for navigating this rapidly evolving regulatory area and how to prepare for potential legal challenges.
At the conference, Edgeworth Economics Principal Consultant Sushrut Jain will participate in a panel discussion on food law class actions and damages valuations. Mr. Jain will present recent trends in consumer class actions brought against manufacturers of retail food products, specifically the proposition of using hedonic price analyses.
