Song-yi Kim has over a decade of experience in the US and throughout Asia in performing rigorous economic and statistical analyses of large, complex datasets. She has applied this expertise to a wide range of financial, economic, and legal issues across many practice areas including competitive issues related to antitrust and bank, class actions, commercial and residential mortgage loan underwriting and securitization, labor and employment, medical claims, and other financial services and regulatory issues.
Prior to joining Edgeworth, Ms. Kim was a Senior Managing Consultant at Berkeley Research Group. Before entering litigation consulting, Ms. Kim was an Economist at HSBC in Hong Kong, where she was responsible for providing econometric models and developing forecasts for medium-and long-term outlooks for the Asian regional economy and writing reports for use by investors, policy makers, and the media. Earlier in her career Ms. Kim served in various roles at the IMF and World Bank, both in the US and in Korea, covering topics ranging from global capital flows to Chinese and Korean manufacturing competitiveness.
Ms. Kim received her MA and BA in economics from Ewha University and her MPA in international development from Harvard University.
