Dr. Foster is an expert in labor and employment economics with significant expertise in FLSA and state-specific wage and hours matters, frequently providing economic testimony during the course of litigation and consulting for companies on issues of compliance. 

Dr. Foster’s practice includes assessing economic issues related to regular rate calculations, misclassification, off-the-clock work, time-shaving, and meal and rest break periods. In those matters, she examines class certification issues, quantifies potential exposure under a range of assumptions, assists with deposition preparation, and critiques reports from opposing experts. Dr. Foster also advises clients on matters relating to discrimination claims including race, gender, and age.

In addition to her labor practice, Dr. Foster has experience in commercial litigation and intellectual property where she has assisted clients with matters related to bankruptcy, fraud, breach of contract, and patent infringement.
