Interview with Wu Zhenguo, Director General of China’s State Administration for Market Regulation

On behalf of the American Bar Association's publication The Antitrust Source, Edgeworth Economics Partner Dr. Fei Deng conducted an interview with Mr. Wu Zhenguo, the Director General of the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), China’s new antitrust agency. The SAMR was formed in early 2018 as the result of three former Chinese antitrust agencies merged into one. 

In this interview, Mr. Zhenguo discusses the progress of the restructuring and consolidation of the agencies, the future legislation plan and enforcement focus of the new agency, the impact of the US-China trade relationship on antitrust enforcement, and other hot topics.
