Pitfalls of Competition Regulations of the Internet Industry from an Economist's Perspective

Dr. Fei Deng gave the presentation, “Pitfalls of Competition Regulations of the Internet Industry from an Economist’s Perspective,” at the ICT IPR Protection Conference in Beijing, China. The conference was hosted by China’s Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) under China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

Dr. Deng discussed research findings on the relationship between economic regulation and innovation, as well as case studies on competition investigation and litigation related to the Internet industry. Dr. Deng also analyzed the potential pitfalls of competition regulation in the worldwide Internet industry as well as the potential legislative pitfalls that may specifically affect China’s Internet industry.
