A: Economic consulting—the kind done at Edgeworth—is the application of microeconomics to business issues. Rigorous empirical analysis, grounded in an understanding of economic principles and industry knowledge, is at the core of our work. This approach is foundational to everything we do, including providing expert testimony in litigation matters (in areas such as antitrust, labor and employment, and intellectual property), regulatory and economic impact analyses, transfer pricing, and valuation. In sum, we study markets and analyze data to help our clients with the issues they face.
A: Edgeworth is interested in attracting the best and the brightest individuals with enthusiasm for real-world economics and analytics. Ideal candidates are detail oriented with strong prior knowledge of statistics, exceptional writing abilities, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Most importantly, candidates should be able to perform or to quickly learn to perform rigorous empirical analysis
A: To learn about the firm and view open positions, please visit our Careers section. You will be prompted to create a username and password when you apply for a current opportunity; you will use the same log-in credentials to apply for subsequent positions. Follow the instructions to fill out the online application.
A: All interested applicants should submit a resume, cover letter (including geographic preference), and unofficial transcript(s). You may be asked for additional information (writing samples, letters of recommendation) after you submit your application. Please note that applications will not be considered complete unless all requested materials are submitted.
A: Once you’ve applied to a position, you will receive an automated confirmation email acknowledging the receipt of your application. You can use your username and password to log in to the system to check your status. If your qualifications and experience match our current hiring needs, you will be contacted for an initial phone screen.
A: Please list your geographic preference(s) in your cover letter to be considered for multiple locations.
A: If selected, the process will begin with an initial phone interview that will include several behavioral-based questions and also technical-related questions. Following the phone interview, the candidate may be invited to participate in second round, in-person interviews at our office, where he/she will meet with a mix of both junior and senior staff. Second round interviews will include behavioral-based questions, technical-related questions, and a case study component.
A: We do hire interns for our consultant positions at different points throughout the year in select offices. Please check our Careers website for specific openings.
A: If a position is not posted, we unfortunately do not have a current opening. However, if you are interested in submitting a more general application, please email a resume, cover letter, and unofficial transcripts to email@example.com, and we may consider you for potential future opportunities.
